Membership

Before joining the club as a full member, you will need to have completed a Archery GB accredited beginners’ course. Soar Valley Archers provide this tuition under the guidance of our own qualified level 2 Coach.  The course lasts for six weeks and costs £60 per person. Course fees are payable in advance and non-refundable. Click here for details of our next beginners’ course, or to book a place.

Once you have completed a beginner’s course, you will have the option of joining the club.

The cost of annual membership of the club, which includes Archery GB membership fees are:

  • £86.00 for adults (21 and over)
  • £42.00 for juniors (under 21)
  • £42.00 for disabled

Archery GB membership is required for insurance purposes, and allows entry into formal competitions.

There is an additional £3 charge for adults (£1.50 for juniors) on Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoon. This covers the club’s rent, equipment costs and other overheads.

Basic equipment is available for hire to members, and includes bows, arrows and other equipment. Hire of equipment costs £5.00 per session. At times when we are running a beginner’s course, this equipment is unlikely to be available to members; however, most members choose to invest in their own equipment within a few weeks/months of joining.
